Ornament Garland

I reeeeeally wanted an ornament garland, but the ones I found at the store were not in the colors or style that I wanted, or they way too long. So I put on my Miss Mash hat and made my own.

Owl Christmas Tree Topper

I have been wanting something to go on the top of my tree for ages now. I couldn't settle on anything until I went window shopping one day and found the most beautiful tree topper at Anthropologie. I ran inside and was all set to buy it, but then immediately passed out over the price tag. I'm pretty sure they have lost their damn minds. So I got all huffed up and set out to make my own. *I may have picked up some overly priced towels because a) I'm a sucker for cute towels and b) I lingered. Never linger in that store!

Christmas Room Tour

I didn't actually set out to decorate my 2 year old's room for Christmas until I realized I needed some place to put our 3 foot tree. Our living room had been completely rearranged since having kids and the place I used to put the tree is no longer there. So I asked her if she wanted a Christmas room and she agreed (very loudly).

Christmas Burlap Wreath

Oh burlap. I have a love/hate relationship with this stuff. It looks great in most projects, but it's kind of messy. When doing this project, prepare to vacuum or sweep afterwards!

I am very pleased with how this project turned out and it gets complimented by the neighbors. Score!

Christmas Yarn Wreath

Yarn wreaths are fairly simple to make. The hardest part is probably choosing your colors. I made two to go on both of my daughters' doors. My only requirement was that one of them jingled! So turn on your favorite soap, *ahem* General Hospital and start your project!

Felt roses

Felt roses give that extra dose of fanciness to a project. They will take you less than five minutes to do!

Felt Apple

I have a little Snow White who was in need of an accessory. An apple seemed like the perfect fit for her so I whipped this up pretty quickly.

Seashell Headband

I live in a house of The Little Mermaid. I've seen the movie 289623863 times and there are various books and other paraphernalia in this house. I think it comes as no surprise to most people that my 2 year old is going to be Ariel for Halloween and probably every day after that. So after some looking around, I found her an Ariel costume. All it needed was something to go in her hair and a few other accessories. I didn't see anything that I liked at the store so I whipped something up this morning.

Haunted House

I've been really wanting to do a haunted house (and my 2 year old has been demanding Halloween decorations) so I got to work on something. I think every haunted house should have glitter. Actually, I think most things in life should be glittered!

A Fall Scene

I have a confession to make. I really love Christmas. I usually skip over the other holidays and chomp at the bit till the day after Thanksgiving. I am now making an effort to branch out and embrace other holidays and seasons. Can I get a pass for living in Florida? We have hot and not as hot. The trees are confused and don't really change colors like other awesome places. You won't find any leaf peeping here.

So for a little bit of fall goodness, here is what I rustled up.

My 2 year old is obsessed with acorns. Every single time we walk outside, she picks up about a thousand. So she was pretty much beside herself when we started this project.

Initial Penny Art

I have found myself drawn to monogram and initial projects. I'm currently working on spicing up my living room walls and I came up with a perfect spicy thing -a giant letter R
(for my last name) with pennies. We happened to have a giant Coke piggy bank of full of pennies so I didn't need to harass anyone at the bank or go scuba diving in my couch cushions.
