Christmas Yarn Wreath

Yarn wreaths are fairly simple to make. The hardest part is probably choosing your colors. I made two to go on both of my daughters' doors. My only requirement was that one of them jingled! So turn on your favorite soap, *ahem* General Hospital and start your project!

Here is what you'll need
Yarn
Styrofoam wreaths
Felt -Green
Felt Roses
Adornments
Hot glue gun
Bells
Scissors

General directions

1. Start by taking the yarn and wrapping it around the styrofoam. You don't need glue for this. Make sure to keep the yarn close together so the styrofoam doesn't peak through.

2. For the candy came wreath, I alternated red and white. That's pretty simple, it just takes longer.

Candy Cane wreath:

1. After the yarn wrapping is finished, take a few threads of yarn from your roll and cut off about 4 inches. Thread each string through the bells.

2. Take the jingle bell strings and wrap them around the wreath. Cut the excess strings and hot glue the knots. The awesome thing about gluing everything to the back is if you make any mistakes, no one can see! I ended up ripping off the short red strands for a nice and clean look.

3.  Hot glue another yarn string to your little birdie. I found this little dude at the craft store. Birds are in right now so you should be able to find one with no problem. Feel free to branch out and choose something else. Hot glue the other side of the string to the back of the bird.

4. Attach 3 felt roses to the wreath. See the tutorial here.

For the red and grey wreath:

1. Wrapping this one is simple and a lot faster.

2. Use this template and cut out the holly onto the felt. Cut two pieces.

3. Attach three felt roses to the wreath. See tutorial here.

4. Hot glue the little bird onto your wreath.

5. Enjoy.
